We are excited (and a little apprehensive) to announce a new venue! After nearly 5 years of gathering together at the Golden Years Club Glenorchy we got that dreaded email ... 'we regret to inform you that you have 30 days to vacate the premise...' or something like that. So, we had no choice but to get looking. In God's kindness a place became available and was willing to have us meet there every Sunday for the foreseeable future. It may be temporary but, for now, it's nearly perfect. This change brings a wave of enthusiasm and anticipation, and we are eager to share how it will impact you, our cherished community. In this post, we will delve into the reasons for our move, outline what you can expect from the new venue, and explain how we will ensure this transition goes smoothly for everyone involved.

Why We’re Moving
Deciding where to change venues was a careful choice grounded in your feedback and our vision. While the Golden Years has been a fantastic home, a shift has become essential - it's been sold!
One key reason for our relocation is the need for more space. Many places for hire in Glenorchy simply will not hold us! KGV will allow us to grow and provide a broader array of activities. For instance, we can now host workshops, seminars, and social events all in the same location.
What to Expect from the New Venue
Expect modern facilities
You can look forward to spacious rooms with comfortable seating and advanced technology. The bathrooms are clean and the space feels warm
Expect accessibility
Location plays a crucial role in accessibility. Our new venue is in a highly convenient area, just a block or two away from the bus mall, Northgate and Bunnings (if that's your thing). It will be just as easy for everyone to attend as the GYC was.
Expect the same community feels
Everyone knows a warm new building can not replace authentic genuine relationships. So expect that same great welcome that we have become known for.
Expect God to work in your life
At City North we speak about, sing about and trust in the God of the universe. We invite all people of Glenorchy and the Northern Suburbs to know God and be known by him. God works in us and changes our live so expect this for yourself as you join us.
Transitioning Smoothly
Communication is Key
We understand that change can be unsettling, and we are committed to supporting you during this transition. We will provide regular updates about the move and what to anticipate at the new venue through our website and newsletters. Our aim is to make the process as seamless as possible so everyone can feel at ease.
FAQs and Support
To help with any concerns or inquiries, we will compile a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section on our website. This resource will cover topics like transportation options, event schedules, and what to expect on the event day. We invite you to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
Final Thoughts
As we move out of one season we move into another. Moving to a new venue marks a significant milestone, and we are thrilled to embark on this adventure with you. Our commitment is to ensure a smooth transition, and we can't wait to welcome you to our new home. Stay tuned for updates, and prepare for a captivating new chapter filled with unforgettable experiences! Thank you for being a vital part of our community; we look forward to seeing you at the new venue!
