Settling Into Church Life After the Move
Since our recent move, we’ve been slowly finding our feet — and like most things in life, it’s taken a moment. But honestly, the warmth and welcome we’ve felt have been huge. It’s one thing to attend a church; it’s another thing to feel like you’ve landed somewhere you can actually put down roots. We’re definitely getting there.
A Seriously Welcoming Club
One of the biggest highlights of KGV has been the staff and set-up team. They’re the sort of people who make you feel like you already belong — whether they’re giving you a quick hello or getting stuck into setting up the space. Their kindness has made the transition so much easier. You can’t fake that stuff (well, maybe AI can, but these guys don’t). City North Church feels at home here.
The Club Space We Didn’t Know We Needed
And then there’s the club space — honestly, it’s brilliant. If you ever needed proof that a good room can bring people together, this place is it. We need room for Church, for kids, for creche and for morning tea (especially morning tea) and KGV is all that and more. The highlight (for me, the pastor) is seeing our kids running around after church playing hide and seek. We've only lost one which is a pretty good average.
Looking Ahead
So yes, the adjustment has taken time — like all worthwhile things — but we’re grateful, we’re settling in, and we’re excited to keep growing our church family. Speaking of which, that is exactly what is happening. We're growing. I am so thankful to God that he is giving us everything we need for life, health and faith. Our God is good. All. The. Time.
